Classic formulas: Patho-Physiology of selected Formulas with Case
Studies
Understanding Classic formulas can be a wonderful tool for refining our
diagnostic skills and treatment strategies. These formulas have been
ingeniously designed to correct malfunctions of the Qi dynamic. Deep
understanding of a formula refines diagnosis, teaching us about both
physiology and patho-physiology , and directs treatment strategies for
acupuncture, tui na, and other interventions. You will be taken into the
heart of several very important formulas, some of which are often
misunderstood.
You will gain a new understanding of some less used formulas , and of
their surprising utility for diagnosis and treatment of problems we often
see. In depth case studies will include insomnia, anxiety, hypertension,
type 2 diabetes and others.
Sharon’s analysis will improve your clinical skills, and help develop
effective acupuncture treatment strategies. Your application of her
methods will extend beyond just the formulas presented.
Here's what one of Sharon's students has to say about learning from
Sharon:
Completing Sharon Weizenbaum’s Graduate Mentorship
Program has been the most valuable educational experience that I have had
in my career to date. The depth of her understanding of Chinese Medicine
and her ability to teach this in a clear and simple way are incredible.
Studying with Sharon has improved my diagnostic
skills and provided a clear framework from which to explain the root cause
of the patients presenting signs and symptoms. She has debunked a lot of
myths that I had been taught e.g. night sweats equal Yin deficiency,
fatigue equals Spleen Qi deficiency etc. She brings herbs and formulas to
life and helps you to understand their applications in a whole new way.
She has the ability to expand your knowledge in a very fulfilling way yet
leave you craving to learn more. Taking Sharon’s class will help you think
more deeply about this powerful system of medicine and improve your
diagnostic and treatment skills.
